The goal of WIVP's fundraising activities is to subsidize a major portion of students' travel costs; their time and talent are donated.

While some funding comes from WIVP-sponsored events like the Wharton Winter Ball, we also rely on the generosity of corporate and other sponsors to achieve our mission.

Donations can be directed towards a specific project, region, or development area (Project Partnership), or towards WIVP's overall mission (Event Partnership).

Project Partnership

• Between May and August 2006, WIVP will send over 60 MBA students on 19 projects to 15 developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

• Projects will focus on sectors as diverse as small business development, micro-finance, and HIV education.

• For firms looking to support specific charitable efforts, Project Partnership provides an ideal opportunity.

Event Partnership

• WIVP organizes a schedule of fund-raising events over the course of the academic year for the entire student body. The centerpiece of our efforts is the 600+ person WIVP Winter Ball.

• Events are targeted at Wharton students, their partners and the faculty and are heavily promoted.

• For firms looking to connect with Wharton students, Event Partnership provides an ideal marketing opportunity.
