WIVP Winter Ball

Walking in a Wharton Wonderland
WIVP holds an annual gala called the WIVP Winter Ball that
has become the community's premier social event. Proceeds from
the WIVP Winter Ball go directly towards supporting efforts
on critical strategic projects for NGOs in developing nations
around the world. Per WIVP's mission, Wharton MBA students travel
to and work with NGOs to improve their ability to better serve
their local communities.
The WIVP Winter Ball is the most widely attended student-run event at Wharton and is quite the formal affair. The 2005 ball took place on December 2nd aboard the Moshulu at Penn's Landing and was attended by approximately 600 people. The ball featured dancing, a live jazz trio, six-piece Latin band, a DJ and silent auction. Guests enjoyed an exquisite flowing chocolate fountain, admired the WIVP ice sculpture and sipped hot toddies while taking in unparalleled views of the city aboard the historic venue, one of the world's grandest tall ships. The 2005 ball was more successful than ever, earning 90% more in proceeds than the previous year.

WIVP Winter Ball 2005 |
Sponsoring the WIVP Winter Ball event gives partner companies unprecedented access by providing a highly visible opportunity to easily get their names and messages out to the current student community. Sponsors of the 2005 ball included Diageo, Victory Beer, Black Tie Tuxedo, Harrah's, and the Wharton Wine Club.
WIVP would like to thank all of the students who attended the Winter Ball as well as our dedicated sponsors for making this year's event a smashing success. Because of your generosity, our student members can continue to volunteer their time and business skills to worthwhile NGOs in the most necessitated parts of the world. Until next year's party...
